WhatsApp Business API pricing, without the surprises
There are two bills: Morasel's fixed subscription and per-message WhatsApp usage. They never mix, and you see the rate for your country before you send.
Why WhatsApp pricing confuses people
Most confusion comes from treating WhatsApp messaging as one bill. It is two: what you pay Morasel to run the platform, and what each message costs once it is delivered. Mixing them up means someone budgets for the subscription and is surprised by usage, or expects usage to be a flat number when it varies by country and message category.
- The Morasel subscription is fixed in USD; it does not change with how many messages you send.
- The per-message rate depends on the recipient's country and the message category; from 1 October 2026, service replies are charged at the utility rate.
- Sending is prepaid from a wallet — there is no invoice-later usage bill to reconcile.
- A live channel with a zero balance is verified and approved but cannot deliver a template message.
What Morasel records for billing
One record for the subscription, one for the wallet, so what you owe and what you have already spent are both visible before you send.
- Plan
- Core $49, Pro $99, Max $199, or Custom on request — billed monthly in USD.
- Billing currency
- USD for the subscription, everywhere, on every plan.
- Wallet balance
- The prepaid amount available for per-message WhatsApp usage.
- Rate card
- Our published price per delivered message, by country and message category, shown before you send.
- Funding method
- Card or bank transfer, whichever you used to top up.
- Usage ledger
- Every delivered message, its category and the amount debited from the wallet.
How a payment turns into a delivered message
The subscription and the wallet are funded separately, and only one of them moves per message sent.
Pick a plan
Start on the 14-day trial with no card, then choose Core, Pro or Max — or talk to us about Custom.
Fund the wallet
Top up by card or bank transfer before your first send. The wallet is separate from the subscription.
Each delivered message debits the rate card
When a message is delivered, the wallet is charged the published rate for that country and category — Meta's WhatsApp price plus the Morasel service fee.
Balance and usage visible per day
The workspace shows the running balance and a daily breakdown of what was spent and on what.
Top up before it runs out
A low-balance alert warns you ahead of zero, so a live channel does not go quiet mid-conversation.
Two categories, two prices
The same customer, two different template categories — Meta prices them differently even though both come from the same wallet.
What your team sees
Cost is a number on the workspace, not a surprise on next month's statement.
- The rate card for your country, by category, before the first message is sent.
- A running wallet balance and a daily usage breakdown.
- The subscription plan and its renewal date, separate from the wallet.
- A low-balance warning before the wallet reaches zero.
Who manages billing
Funding the wallet and changing the plan are billing decisions, kept separate from day-to-day sending.
- Only a workspace owner or billing manager can top up the wallet or change the subscription plan.
- Every top-up is recorded with who paid, how, and when.
- Anyone on the team can see the current balance and rate card; only billing roles can add funds.
- Every wallet top-up and plan change is in the audit log.
What Morasel does not set
Morasel does not set Meta's WhatsApp prices. Our published rates are based on Meta's official pricing by country and message type, plus a Morasel service fee, and the wallet is charged the published rate for each delivered message. Wallet credit is for WhatsApp usage only; it is not cash and is not refundable to a bank account (see /refund-policy).

Pricing questions
Does Morasel add a fee to WhatsApp usage?
Yes, and it is part of the price you see. Messages are billed per delivered message from your prepaid wallet, at the rates in our published rate card. Rates are based on Meta's official WhatsApp pricing by country and message type, plus a Morasel service fee.
What currency is this all in?
USD. The subscription is billed in USD on every plan, and the wallet is funded and debited in USD.
What happens when the wallet balance hits zero?
Template messages stop delivering until the wallet is topped up. A low-balance alert is meant to warn you before that happens.
Does the subscription include any messages?
No. The subscription pays for the platform — inbox, CRM, scheduling, campaigns, automation. Every delivered message is a separate, metered charge against the wallet.
How are messages priced by category?
Meta prices WhatsApp per delivered message, by category — marketing, utility or authentication — and by the recipient's country. From 1 October 2026, service messages (replies inside the 24-hour customer service window) are charged at the utility rate. The rate card in your workspace shows the current numbers.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, 14 days, no card required. You can explore the platform before funding the wallet or picking a paid plan.
